Frequently Asked Questions

To ensure a seamless experience at Berungrid, we have compiled a comprehensive list of questions frequently asked by our clients. From the initial booking process and technical specifications to post-production delivery and legal rights, you will find detailed explanations below. If your specific query is not addressed here, please reach out to us via our Contact Form.

Booking and Studio Access

How do I book a recording session?

Please visit our contact page and provide your preferred dates, the purpose of the session, the instruments involved, and the number of participants. To maintain the highest quality of service and technical preparation, Berungrid operates on a strict appointment-only basis. Our team will review the schedule and typically respond to your request within 24 hours.

What is the maximum capacity of the studio?

Our facility can accommodate up to 6 musicians simultaneously. By utilizing our three dedicated spaces—the Live Room, the Vocal Booth, and the Control Room—we ensure an optimized environment for complex ensemble recordings. If your group size changes, please notify us in advance to ensure proper spatial arrangement.

Are minors allowed to use the studio?

Clients aged 16 and over may utilize the studio without the accompaniment of a guardian. For those under 16, the presence of a parent or legal guardian is mandatory throughout the session. This policy is in place for safety management and is consistent with our facility usage terms.

Can I change my booking after confirmation?

Adjustments are possible depending on our current availability. Please be aware that some changes may incur additional fees or may not be possible if the requested slot is already filled. We recommend contacting us via email or phone as early as possible to facilitate rescheduling.

Sessions and Technical Equipment

What kind of equipment is available in the studio?

To support professional-grade production, we provide a curated selection of tube microphones, high-precision near-field monitors, and a space featuring advanced acoustic treatment. This setup allows us to capture clear, dense, and balanced sound regardless of the musical genre.

Do you provide engineer support during the session?

Yes. Our service plans include technical support from our Chief Engineer or Assistant Engineer. We handle everything from microphone placement to recording operations, ensuring your session is captured in the optimal technical state.

Am I allowed to bring my own equipment?

Generally, you are welcome to bring your own gear. However, if you plan to bring large instruments or equipment requiring specialized power specifications, please inform us in advance. Our engineer will verify that your equipment is compatible with our studio infrastructure.

Do you offer advice on how to prepare for a session?

To maximize efficiency during your time in the studio, we have published a detailed Preparation Guide for Recording. We strongly encourage you to review this guide, perform necessary rehearsals, and prepare a session structure before your arrival.

File Delivery and Data Management

In what format will my recordings be delivered?

We primarily deliver high-resolution WAV files. The specific sampling rate and bit depth are determined through prior consultation with the client. MP3 exports are available upon request. If you require multi-track stems for further production, please discuss this with your engineer during the session.

How long do you store my session data?

Berungrid maintains a backup archive of your sessions for 12 months following the completion of the project. Data exceeding this period is permanently deleted. We advise all clients to save their delivered files to their own secure storage immediately upon receipt.

Is there a limit to the number of revisions for mixing?

For our mixing and mastering services, we include up to 3 rounds of revisions free of charge. Any requests for revisions beyond the third round, or significant changes to the original song structure, will incur additional fees.

Where can I find more details about file formats?

Detailed information regarding recommended formats and the technical handling of delivered files can be found on our File Formats and Delivery guide.

Rights and Legal Terms

Who owns the rights to the recorded music?

As a general rule, the master rights and copyrights of the recordings belong to the client. However, the full transfer of these rights is finalized only upon 100% payment of the total studio fees. For further details, please refer to our Terms.

Is the studio responsible for performer rights?

No. All copyright clearances and agreements with performing artists are the sole responsibility of the client. Berungrid assumes no liability for disputes arising from the infringement of third-party rights during or after the recording process.

How is my personal information handled?

Your name, contact details, and recording data are used exclusively for the provision and administration of our services. We do not share your data with third parties. Detailed information is available in our Privacy policy.

What are my options regarding master rights?

Defining rights is particularly critical for podcasts and commercial productions. We invite you to read our guide on Master Rights and Options for a deeper understanding of these legalities.

Payments and Cancellations

Is a deposit required to secure a booking?

Yes. To confirm your reservation, a deposit of 30% of the total estimated fee is required. This amount is subsequently applied toward your final invoice.

What is the cancellation policy?

Cancellations made at least 3 days before the scheduled session start date are free of charge. For cancellations made within this 3-day window, the deposit may be non-refundable.

How does B2B (corporate) payment work?

For our corporate clients, we offer payment via invoice. The payment term for such invoices is 14 days from the date of issuance.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept bank transfers and major credit card payments. Detailed payment instructions will be provided in your booking confirmation email.
