About Berungrid

A team of four Japanese studio professionals in the recording studio

Berungrid is a professional recording studio located in the Minatomirai district of Nishi-ward, Yokohama. We provide a specialized environment for musicians, podcasters, and voice artists, focusing on the balance between technical precision and creative expression to achieve high-fidelity sonic results.

Our History and Philosophy

Since our establishment in 2018, we have operated under the principle of sonic integrity. Our goal is to capture the natural resonance of the source material without unnecessary embellishment. By blending the urban dynamism of Yokohama with a controlled, serene studio atmosphere, we have created a space where artists can focus entirely on their performance.

We view our role not merely as equipment operators, but as engineering partners who translate a client's creative vision into a concrete audio reality. Regardless of the genre, we provide consistent quality control from the initial tracking session to the final delivery of the master files.

Facilities and Studio Layout

Our 120m² studio facility is divided into three optimized rooms designed to handle different stages of production:

  • Live Room: A versatile space for instrument recording and small ensembles, with a maximum capacity of 6 musicians performing simultaneously.
  • Vocal Booth: A dedicated acoustic environment designed to isolate the performer from external noise for delicate vocal tracking.
  • Control Room: A precision monitoring environment where our engineers manage every detail of the signal chain.

Our technical inventory includes tube microphones for warmth and character, near-field monitors for accurate spatial positioning, and comprehensive acoustic treatment throughout the facility to ensure a flat, neutral recording environment.

Professional Team

The Berungrid team consists of four specialists who collaborate to ensure the technical success of every project.

Workflow and Approach

We employ an efficient workflow that prioritizes preparation. Before any session, we conduct detailed consultations with our clients to align on the desired sonic direction. During the session, our engineers handle all technical requirements, allowing the artist to remain focused on their performance.

Post-recording, we follow strict data management standards to maintain quality through the mixing and mastering phases. Please note that all photographs on this website are illustrative and represent typical studio operations.
